The simulator delivers an immersive training experience by replicating a realistic weld puddle and authentic welding sounds, helping students learn to recognize and adjust their technique in real time. It simulates sparks, slag, grinding, and weld cooling, while welding discontinuities appear when improper technique is used—providing immediate feedback. A built-in virtual bend test offers instant results and clearly shows why a weld passes or fails. To reinforce learning, students can view demos of successful welds and practice proper machine setup using a Welding Procedure Specification (WPS), which requires selecting the correct gas type, process, flow rate, amperage/voltage, and wire-feed speed. The system also tracks and scores essential weld parameters, including work angle, travel angle, travel speed, distance, and position, helping learners build skill through detailed performance insights.
